Help with a wedding outfit

I have a wedding coming up in April and am a bit stuck on what to wear. I have a dark blue, floor length wide-legged jumpsuit - does this sound ok? It's not a church wedding, if that's relevant.

If I do wear this, I will need a jacket of some sort. The jumpsuit is sleeveless, and being April I think I'll need something on top. My problem is I'm not sure what colour, and I can't find anything I like. I'm a size 4, so generally buy a size 6, and I don't like the oversized style (partly because I already have to buy a size bigger than I'd like so just end up looking like a child in her mum's clothes).

So, if I wear the jumpsuit, I'll need a fitted jacket in a colour that goes with dark blue. Can you wear a white jacket to a wedding? Or should I go for a different colour? Does the jumpsuit sound ok?

I haven't been to a wedding in about 7 years and I have two this year and it's stressing me out! I'm so bad with clothes generally, and have no eye for colour at all.

Black or white jacket would be fine, maybe even silver. I’d even look at a shawl.

Hot pink, not black with dark blue

Navy jumpsuit is fine - I’d go for white/cream or a bright colour like pink. Black jacket with navy would look odd. If you know the wedding will mostly be indoors then you could just get a pashmina/shawl instead

Jumpsuit sounds fine! Depends on proportions and fabric but presumably you like it and feel happy in it.

I wore navy with coral, have to say it looked fabulous!

A shawl would be … a bit awful. So droopy and shapeless and dated!

The pictured jackets, the orange one would suit a jumpsuit but others are too long and formal, short boxy jacket and def no bloody MN shawl/pashmina!

@RandomersAssociation the Ganni jacket is a bit out of my price range, although I do like the colour!

@OnaBegonia do you think a blazer style jacket would be too formal then? That's sort of the style I had in my head but as I say, I'm not very good with clothes!

I think from the description of your jumpsuit a blazer would overwhelm you and the jumpsuit.
