I've been a bit MIA after saying I wanted to be "accountable", woops! Work's been mayhem, different bits and pieces going on in life and just feeling a bit blah lately!

@polkadotpixie ah, thank you! I'm completely reassured by everyone's kindness and lovely welcome! I think I was just overthinking as usual and I guess feeling a bit down in myself when joining the thread. Going through a VERY expensive and slow divorce atm, so budgets are tighter, "nicer" clothes no longer fitting as my shape is changing etc. It's been lovely having people tell me that their branded stuff is actually EBay, charity or whatever. But also loving living precariously through those with bigger budgets too. I've felt very welcomed! And btw, i LOVE your style! A bit of me!

I've fallen off the thread because we're on holiday in Dorset. Starting the long journey back tomorrow so hopefully not too much snow en route. Outfit 2 days ago was the same as last Saturday. Yesterday jumper monsoon, thermal M&S, cords fatface.

Snowing heavily here this morning, so I’m wearing thermal base layers and WFH.

@OublietteBravo love your skirt (I think I may have told you that already!) I do like leopard print though. It was snowing here from around 6pm.! I was at my friend's for Chinese food and we shared a bottle of wine.....left around 9.30 and oh my goodness....the snow on my walk home!! Looks to be melting now though.

I am unapologetically still in my pyjamas. I'm not used to drinking alcohol and I had an unsettled night! Going to just take my time getting ready, although I have a Teams call before lunch so that'll help give me a push

we don’t have snow we have rubbish cold sleet and wind. And today is very busy with dentist, osteopath and vet appointments. All crammed into today as DH is supposed to be away for 2 weeks from tomorrow but sadly first week is cancelled ( penalty of elderly parents, not ours this time) and his friend can’t do the big walk next week. Hoping week 2 happens as I was looking forward to peace and quiet . DD1 is in Yorkshire and it looks very very white there!

Ignore the PurplecatDog posse, who are grumpy due to the cold weather - as you can see Junior is eating my socks the minute I turn my back, lol.

Wfh today. Just got a lovely chest of drawers /secretaire from ebay on Wednesday so I'll enjoy my new desk vs the lounge table for working from home!

Just checking in, you all look lovely. I'm going to be rubbish and not post a photo since I'm wearing exactly the same as yesterday. It was freezing all morning but the sun has come out so it might be getting closer to the day I'll get a dress out!

I've been there, divorce is hard, especially when kids are involved. Mine were 4 and 7. Things will improve I'm sure, I had little money for clothes for years but survived. It's different now, I remarried in October, but I still remember those times well.

On the linen/summer trousers topic, still staying away from Poetry. Having made a White Stuff order of various styles the other day, I've also now ordered some from Seasalt to try. I'm kind of limited by needing petite or cropped, so let's see what this all brings. Certainly cheaper than Poetry and discountsforteachers (I'm a Maths tutor) site had 35% off Seasalt until then end of March. I only really want a couple of pairs, but in my experience I need to try 20 styles of trousers to find one that fits, especially lightweight summer ones. A bit like dresses and shoes for me, no, for shoes let's make that 50!

@EllaPaella - I've just ordered some jeans and a shirt from Everlane. I've always loved the look of their garments but I've previously been put off ordering after reading Trustpilot reviews. How did you find the delivery/service?

It was fine @EnoBaby - took 10 days but communication was good. Can't comment on returns as I'm keeping them and never ordered previously. They use DHL as a courier.

It's quite sunny today and we don't have any snow, thank god, but it's still bloody cold and I can't be arsed today (endo flare up) so I look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards at the minute, not necessary for anyone to see monster mug😱

@EnoBaby I've I ordere loads from everlane for years and they are good for customer service and for reasonably quick delivery. The more yiu spend the cheaper the press delivery gets and I often use that. For me, returns are awful as the only DHL drop off is many miles away so that is irksome but do you live in or near a city you will be okay. They have a 2 day sale on denim at the moment btw

We have snow! Unusual as we are coastal. Pretty but cold

i realised I haven’t worn much colour this winter so this is my concession to that ( also it’s cashmere so very warm)

Jeans are a nightmare for me on the "high street" as my waist is very small but I've got a comparatively huge backside! 💪Hoping the Everlane curvy fit will be the answer to that 😆

Also going to chance ordering from Madewell as the we head into summer.
