Affordable office wear

I've been really lazy with my workwear lately (mainly due to feeling crap about how I look). I'm having my hair cut into a new style next week so I'm looking for some new office clothes.

Specifically I'm wanting a navy pencil skirt, a grey pencil skirt (or any other pencil skirt expect black) and some nice fitted blouses/ shirts. Oh and a nice pair of court shoes that aren't too high (I walk around a lot at work).

I can't seem to find any affordable options! I've tried all the usual suspects: boohoo, asos, new look, next, M&S, H&M, George (I can only find school skirts), Matalan

Am I missing somewhere obvious? I don't have oodles to spend. Im a size 10-12.

EBay. So many people working from
home now they are selling their work wear on there

Esprit is very affordable and has some really nice blouses.

Vinted is your friend! M&S do very comfortable mid height heels which I've worn for work for ages but I can get them new on Vinted for £5!

This. My sister has just bought her office "uniform" on Ebay from different sellers for a total of £20, which included 2 x navy blue pencil skirts, 5 work shirts of different colours, 2 pairs of heels and a jacket!

Have you tried Uniqlo for shirts? Think H&M have one or two nice ones as well. I like boden for ponte pencil skirts (think it was Hampshire skirt), they are more pricy but keep their shape - might be worth searching on vinted or eBay for them? Next and M&S have some nice trouser options, love and roses at next have some nice blouses - although their prints might be a bit much for work depending on how conservative it is.

Ebay.

Charity shops or 2nd hand online. TM Lewin shirts and office suits are cheap.

Vinted is great and you can make up bundles if you find a seller with a few items you like.

Have a look on Brand Alley - they have some lovely pencil skirts and blouses

I like moshulu for shoes.

Definitely Vinted. I’ve sorted out my mat leave return clothes for under £50 - a brand new wool coat, one brand new dress, and two second hand dresses. All nice brands (Hobbs, Baukjen, Finery etc).

It takes a bit of effort but I’ve saved around £500 in total. The coat was £350 new but sold for £8 with tags!
