Do Reebok trainers come up shallow?

Just bought these for dd -

After wearing a few times she now says they are uncomfortable on the top (ie too shallow for her foot). Length is fine. Don’t really understand as she has quite narrow feet. Unless her instep is high maybe? Anyone else had problems with Reebok?
