What hair dye to achieve this colour? Pic

My hair is currently dyed a mid-dark brown, last done about 4-5 weeks ago, it’s washed up quite a bit, so looking quite warmish - you know when you get those reddish tones (especially when the sun shines) from a brown hair dye when it starts fading, well it’s at that stage now.

I usually like the ashiest brown I can get. I’ve been using Garnier Olia dyes for last few times as I really liked the shade Brown & last time I used dark brown to get a bit longer out of it - but like I say, it’s still washing up even though it’s permanent dye. My hair is also looking a bit dry at the ends, I heard Olia was supposed to be the most nourishing box dyes out there!

Anyway, seen this colour which I quite like, could anyone suggest a brand & shade that would closely match this colour? What colour would you say it is?
At the same time I don’t want anything too ‘burgundy’, ‘Plum’ or too red.

OP did you find a colour to achieve this result? Love the colour and looking to get this shade on my own hair too

I'd like to know how to get this colour too.

When I saw Charlie Brooks (I think on Phil and Holly's daytime programme) I thought she looked fabulous - her hair was a beautiful colour and glossy too. She looked really lovely.

I didn’t find an exact match - I’m not brave enough to go for any hair dyes that say mahogany or red in them as I’m afraid they’ll end up too red and I don’t want just dark red hair, ifuwim?

When I used Garnier Olia Dark Brown, it was very intense dark brown at first, I can’t say it was black because it wasn’t but it was very very dark. It has washed up somewhat & there is a ‘warm’ tone to it. I think unless you’re willing to experiment with semi permanent colours rather than permanent colours to get that colour, your best best is a salon to match it exactly. My hair is probably too dry to keep messing about trying to get the proper balance between brown & red & I can’t afford a salon job. But yeah I’m just going to stick with Olia for now.

I'm thinking L'oreal Majirel French brown range

I like Nice and Easy because they actually state 'neutral', 'ash' or 'cool' toned brunette shades, which is what you need to look out for the avoid the ones that lean red and brassy within a few washes.
I wouldn't call that pic ashy brown by any means though- I think it's a neutral deep brunette, but most box dyes are so red that I always veer towards the those that explicitly state otherwise.

Garnier Nutrisse frosted chestnut and iced coffee are very similar and give great results
