Anya Hindmarsh

I'm working up to asking for an Anya Hindmarsh bag for my birthday.

But I'm gazillions of miles away from a store so can't judge the feel of them. Can anyone tell me if they're soft or very rigid?

I’m a big fan of AH - incredibly beautiful craftsmanship and quality. Can’t comment on that particular bag though!

The leather is not super soft, but not rigid either. It's a good weight, will soften beautifully and acquire a lovely patina over time.

If you're able, go look at them in person before committing, although to be fair, you can return the bag if you order online and don't like it when it arrives.

I’ve had an AH bag I was very disappointed with - the handles were a mess and one completely ripped off after minimal wear. I put it down to bad luck/ a one off poor quality batch.

Then I visited my DM and saw the ruined state of her different style of AH bag. She had only used it lightly over six months. She was so disappointed as it was a treat for her.

After that I’m never buying an AH bag again. There is better quality available for the price.

Im so sorry. I didn’t see your post before I did mine. I hope I haven’t put you off. It is possible I just had bad bag luck and, to be fair, I did not return it to AH for mending as I purchased it in a London shop and o we live abroad.
