Help! Phantom wedding dress stain - where can help?

So my wedding dress was expensively dry cleaned by a wedding dress survivalist, wrapped up and put in all the overpriced special acid-free or whatever paper in a ribboned box, snuggly kept in the divan storage area under the bed so not damp etc, not even opened and now, after well over a decade, when I decided to finally show it to the kids - horror!

The shoulder is all stained brown as if a cup of tea were spilled in it and there are a few other brown splats on it too. Trust me, nobody has been near it ever since. Help!

No clue if it’s fixable. Who might be best placed to try?

This happened to mine. I turned it inside out and put it in the washing machine as I thought 'what's the worst that can happen?"

Turns out nothing, the dress looks great. All the brown stains came out and it looks fine. No lace on my dress but it did have embroidery and beading.

Here’s some info as to what it might be. maybe try a specialist wedding dress cleaner or dress restorer?

Ooh yes - super helpful links - guessing from the info there that it must be oxidised stains that the dry cleaning couldn’t get out but that were invisible at the time. That makes sense! Scary to think wet washing is the key but guess I’ve little to lose… In case helpful, the dress is Pronovias and ivory lace (‘Epoca’) - catalogue pic enclosed. Clearly not of me!
