I'm having cheek fillers tomorrow- have you had them and what did you think of the results?

Having fillers tomorrow because I have a long face and as I've aged and have even less fullness in my face, people keep thinking I'm secretly a man. Grin And I look old for my age.

I had some fillers in a couple of lines or something a few years ago, but there wasn't much of a result.

Having more this time so hopefully it'll make more of a difference.

Have any of you had them and what did you think of your results?

Hi troops I probably got a bit fatter in the face too lol but this is a before, and a week and a half after having it done. Some of the pics when it was more swollen were actually better as it took the lines to either side of my mouth/nose out (which I'm getting done next, in a couple of weeks.))

I really don't think you need to have that done at all. Now your cheeks look (very naturally by the way) plumper, to me those "lines" look very natural, and not in any way ageing.

i would never mess with my face but that’s me, I would rather eat healthy get my weight sorted, and change my hairstyles as I do regularly, but I totally understand that we are all different and have different views on things and quite rightly so, I think you would look lovely with a side fringe oldfan go for layers in your hair and a bit of the length that’s my opinion though! Lovely colour lipstick you are wearing.

OldFan · 05/02/2023 16:48

@CambsAlways I am an ok weight usually, I just look rough in the face, probably too much hard living. Smile If I lose much weight I look worse in the face.
I do want to lose a bit of weight after covid and a minor op I had made me turn to treats. But I go through phases of being a pig and then getting on top of it again. So far I've always turned it around.

Layers I always think make your hair look thinner at the ends- they have to because you do have less hair at the ends because it's been cut off higher up. :)

I'm not good at styling so I try to choose a low maintenance style.

And it's important to me to cover the central forehead creases. Grin

I've just had BOTOX and filler in a crease one side of my mouth for the first time - the results from just a teeny bit of filler are amazing! She asked if I wanted the bit left over in my lip but I said No. A friend told me it was really painful having it in the lip so I thought I'd pass!

CambsAlways · 05/02/2023 18:05

Oldfan I know what you mean about treats, I’m on steriods and have underactive thyroid and I’m afraid I did eat too many treats hence the weight going on it’s an ongoing battle, I don’t want to lose too much weight as yes I’m aware you can look Older in the face and ILL if lose too much, I’m not good at styling either but I do visit the hairdresser quite a bit to have dif styles and colours good luck to you and do what makes YOU happy

I love mine- I had my nasolabial folds done also! They are really subtle but I feel so much more fresher and I swear they improve your skin texture x

Orangeradiorabbit · 05/02/2023 18:21

OP you looked beautiful before and you look amazing now too. I can definitely see the difference and I think you look lovely- positively glowing in your second picture. Enjoy 😉

OldFan · 06/02/2023 01:41

Hi troops I'll be back I'm going to try and lighten the hair. Though it might end up quite ginger. 😂Not that that's necessarily bad.

If you can afford cheek fillers etc you really ought to get it done professionally.

ThePoetsWife · 06/02/2023 07:53

I would try using under eye concealer and blusher to help divert attention from your chin. Go to a make up counter and ask for tips.

Long straight hair isn't great for long faces - in the 2nd pic there's more volume which makes a difference.

I missed that. Is the Op not getting it done “professionally”?

I doubt any decent colourist would let someone leave with colour they hadn't asked for? Perhaps op is going to a salon? Hope so. I used to do so many colour corrections it was unreal. Stressful at times believe it or not.
