Winter boots/shoes

Please give me your recommendations for winters shoes/boots for icy weather.

Had a pretty nasty fall the other day ripping my pelvis and hip muscles because I was wearing trainers which clearly are shit - no grip at all and are more ‘fashion’ trainers than practical school run/ everyday winter shoes.

it’s hard to see online options as everything under the sun comes up and I can’t go out trying shoes on yet 😩

Knixmax for cheaper option, Keens for more expensive. I bought some knixmax snow boots off amazon thinking they might not last as they were such a bargain, but they have and are still warm, waterproof and grippy through 3 winters so far.

For slippery ice, rubber stretchy crampons that fit over shoes are great, I have a pair and they are very easy to use and work brilliantly. example here

Any with rubber soles.
