Please recommend a cream blusher!

I've worn blusher pretty much everyday for well over 20 years, it is (along with eyebrow gel now) often the only make up I wear. I am pale and it makes me look so much better.

I used to use creamblush occasionally but have used powder for years. I really want to go back to a cream or liquid blush though but don't know where to start anymore. I don't want to waste money so would like some ideas, happy to go from cheap budget through to something more pricey though.

If it makes me look like I did at 28 rather than my current 38 that would be very much appreciated! Grin

Daniel Sandler watercolour are lovely
here

I like Petal and Angel, there’s a colour suggestion quiz by skin tone.

Thank you, that is one I have considered before. Is it easy to use? I've never got one with tint ones (like Benetint). Love the look but am just not that refined!

Yes very easy, I use Petal in the black tube most days. I put it more cheeky bone towards temple, than apples now I’m older 🙂

Montague22 · 22/01/2023 12:15

I find Benetint a pain as it dries before blended. This is nothing like that, it’s very easy to blend and stays put.

Revolution Super Dewy blusher is a great budget option.

Menopants · 22/01/2023 12:17

Glossier cloud paint is fantastic

BorisJohnsonsHair · 22/01/2023 12:17

Try using lipstick. Honestly you can't tell the difference and it matches brilliantly if you use it on your lips as well.

Plump82 · 22/01/2023 12:18

Stila convertible cream blushes are lovely.

Makegoodchoices · 22/01/2023 12:19

I’ve got Daniel Sandler Petal and one of the Trinny lip to cheek ones - too drying to use on lip but nice as a blush.

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 22/01/2023 12:19

No 7 lip and cheek tint - received one in a gift set and never looked back (as a blusher, don't like it as a lip tint)

My favourite ever was a MAC cream blusher but unfortunately they discontinued the colour and not seen one I like since. It went on beautifully and provided an extra layer of cover. Lasted ages and was well worth the money.

Findyourneutralspace · 22/01/2023 12:19

I use this one. It’s a real cheapie but I’m often complimented on my young complexion (not trying to brag, just saying that’s what you are looking for)

Please recommend a cream blusher!

Bobbie Brown ones are good, easy to apply, good range of colours, etc.

Iwasntgettingasandwich · 22/01/2023 12:23

These are all so helpful! I'm going to have a look at them all.

I have used lipstick when I was at work without blusher. I was surprised that it looked so good but smudged off very quickly. I mess with my face all day, I am just very fidgety so need something that is going to last.

I might get that Collection one just because at the price it seems silly not to!

Revolution fast base blush stick from Superdrug/Boots. It’s beautiful. I wear it every day in Peach.

mrsharrisgoestoparis · 22/01/2023 12:55

Pearl beauty beautiful makeup look it up on Instagram

WhereAreWeNow · 22/01/2023 13:03

Glossier Cloud Paint. But if you're not sure, try Barry M Fresh Face cheek tint first. Much cheaper and just as good.

Shitfather · 22/01/2023 13:05

Glossier one is gorgeous. You’ll find bargains on eBay.

Binbags · 22/01/2023 13:05

Anyone rate the Bobbi brown pot rouge ?

Iwasntgettingasandwich · 22/01/2023 13:48

I am so glad I asked!

Glossier cloud paint are good. My absolute favourite is byterry blush/highlighter pen.

LunchBoxPolice · 22/01/2023 13:52

I love Fenty cream blush in petal poppin. Looks scarily pink in the pot but blends out lovely

NotACodfish · 22/01/2023 14:03

Rare Beauty liquid blush. Such a nice finish and a little goes a long way, so it lasts ages.

TattiePants · 22/01/2023 14:40

My absolute favourite is Chantecaille gel blusher which I use in the colour Lively. It’s not cheap ((£40ish) but I’ve been using the same tube since before lockdown.

TheChosenTwo · 22/01/2023 14:49

I got the dds a couple of the rare beauty liquid ones for Christmas, I’ve tried them both as samples and they were lovely, blendable and pigmented but easy to work with and build up. I prefer a really really light amount of everything if I’m wearing makeup and these were so nice.
