Hair extensions

Ok, so I need advice. I had hair past my shoulders - really nice hair as well. Strawberry blonde and curly/wavy. One of the few things I actually like about myself. Anyways, in a moment of madness (because Im ancient and for a second I bought into the 'older women cant have long hair' bullshit) I got a bob. It looks super shit, taken most of the curl out of my hair, and has aged me 10 years. But I am a real natural kinda person. Very scruffy casual clothes (think DMs and dungarees), Not much makeup, hair has always been wild (but I think pretty cool). And now I look....boring.

Cant believe im saying this but seriously considering micro ring extensions whilst I grow it back. Is that insane? Am I just going to look ridiculous? I miss my hair!!

Don't do it! I have thin hair and always wanted long, glossy locks, so for around 3 years solid I had glue in hair extensions and even when removed properly my own hair still became thinner and I hated it when they were out, then I moved onto micro rings which yes, felt better for my hair, but depending on how quickly your hair grows you'll need them moving up often. I don't have extensions now and haven't for years but did have them put in for a wedding last year when I was bridesmaid and I took them out myself (a hairdresser friend showed me how) the night after the wedding, they drove me mad!

It's a costly cycle to get into, op. That is just my experience and you might get them and love them but once you start it's a difficult cycle to break 🤣

Thank you so much for this info daisydoods.

When you had the micro rings how regularly would you have to get them adjusted? how long did it take?

Very welcome 🤗 i had to get them moved up every 6-8 weeks and it took about an hour and a half to have them moved up, just depends on how many you get in
