No laptop - just lots of crap essential everyday items!

Much prefer the left one but I have an aversion to bags with a long strap and grab handles as well.

Would prefer them both with silver hardware.

I like the left one. I can't get on with sticking up handles when I'm carrying a bag over my shoulder

I'd say one. The second one would feel like it had too much going on imo. Unnecessarily big, strap too long, clunky. Unless you need it size wise, I'd go with the first 1.

I've owned the second bag, I bought it on a whim in a Fossil Outlet several years ago. It's very big in person and very structured - good quality but I always felt it looked old fashioned and a bit mature for me when I was using it and regretted buying it. Looks aside I just found it too big for a day bag- even more so now that you see larger cross body bags much less, and hated the key charm, which I removed. It went to the charity shop 2 or 3 years ago.

I do prefer the first bag, but there is just something about Fossil bags that look a bit off to me, a bit like clarks shoes.

Update - I've gone for bag 2! I like how it looks elegant and structured - hoping it'll magically make me look more 'pulled together' whatever I'm wearing.
I also like lots of pockets and compartments and I hate feeling I have to reduce what I carry. I also, on reflection, thought the flap on bag 1 would annoy me after a while.
Hopefully it will be a trusty companion for many years (plus I got a really good deal!).
Anyway if it arrives and I don't like it it's free to return...
