Emergency hair dying!

I have a last minute interview on Saturday.

My hair is bleached with dark roots. I've put a semi perm red over it last week which has faded to pink. It continues to wash out. It looks a mess tbh.

I can't go to an interview with this hair! 🤣

I won't be able to get a hairdresser to do a patch test and dye it before then. I can however patch test myself this evening and dye it late tomorrow.

So 2 questions:

1. I know I need to put a red on, before I use brown. Will my current pink hair be sufficient? Or do I need to put an auburn type colour on?

If I put semi perm dyes on, will a HD be able to dye it better in the near future?

Any other suggestions? As I say, there isn't time for the HD.

I should say, I'd like to go a natural brown.

The purpose is to look good in interview, not specifically to dye your hair today because you want it dyed. So I'd go with an auburn then. Fixes the problem for now. Worry about what colour you actually want to be and how to achieve that later.

If you're conscious about hair color, then go with the henna powder or henna products to treat hair. It will bring you the natural look instead of the fading black dye colored hair.

How warm is your natural hair colour? I went from bleached blonde to mid brown the other week without going through red, I used L’Oréal Preference Dark Golden Blonde (7.3). My underlying warmth and the warmth in this meant it didn’t go green. I think it’s partly if you want an ashy brown that that issue occurs.

Interview has been put back to next Saturday so I can go to thr HD instead. Phew.
