I’m looking for a nice weekend bag and wondered what you lovely ladies would recommend?

Longchamp weekend

CappuccinoFace · 18/01/2023 22:17

Sorry, it's called longchamp Boxford

How big are you thinking? The problem with weekend bags can be that by the time you've got a weekend's worth of clothes, shoes and toiletries in there, a cabin size bag with wheels is actually much less hassle to cart around.

The Longchamp Le Pliage Original shoulder bag is perfect for a weekend away and holds a surprising amount. Lightweight and hard wearing - I’ve had mine for years and love it. It’s worth the money and much easier to carry when it’s full than a short-handled bag.

I’ve used the bag above for a weekend away and agree that they fit enough for a weekend away in however when I have used it I have tended just to wear the same footwear during the weekend.

Should clarify I meant the le pliage

Katie loxton

I've just bought this for a gift and think it's great...

Longchamp Le Pliage expandable travel bag

It’s bigger than the little one and has a handy zip so you can change its size

rains? I have it; lightweight and waterproof.

Ooh I like the look of that. I have a Rains tote which I absolutely love and use all the time. Would mind the weekend bag too!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I love the Katie Loxton one the most but I am wondering if I should invest in one with wheels. Found this Ted Baker bag but a little more than I was hoping to spend even with 30% off.

Depends how much walking you need to do with it. I have a weekend shoulder bag a bit bigger than the Katie Loxton one and I only use it when I'm using the car as it hurts my shoulder after a while when I'm walking.

If I was getting a flight or even a train and had to travel much either side of my destination I'd use a cabin sized wheeled bag.

I've got a leather Radley one. Good quality and big enough for a weekend away
