Barn Wedding

First time I’ve been invited to a wedding in a barn. Strangely, it looks quite an upmarket venue despite it being a barn. Anyone know what the dress code is for this type of wedding? I’m usually a posh frock and hat type of wedding guest, will that do or will I look too formal? Advice please.

I went to a bran wedding last summer. Posh frock still with hat and low heals, then I had flats for later when the dancing started.

Most barns I’ve been to weddings in have a very scant resemblance to an actual barn - I think there’s a fashion for calling a country venue a barn if you can’t get away with calling it a manor 🤣.

So normal wedding attire will be fine - if you’re really stuck check out their Instagram page for tagged visitors and see what other people have worn. That will also give you a really good idea of the interior style of the venue as well.

Thanks, I think I’ll stick to my usual wedding attire. I’ve checked out the venues instagram but it’s all twinkly lights, strange camera angles and young guests not much of a clue there for oldies like me.
