Scoopback/Backless Swimsuit

Do people remember the scoop back or backless swimsuits of old? I don't want something that looks like a "demi bikini" from the rear or has enough multi straps for the average girl guide to practice her knots and get in a twist. Neither do I want the back to come so high up that it is parallel with my boobs on the front. I just want something stylish with a low back. I don't want assistance to climb into it and I want to be able to do serious lengths. But I want stylish.

Whatever happened to simplicity?

Cos have one but I’m not sure if it’ll be low enough for your description

I got a nice one in and m and s last year, probably a bit early to be looking now assuming you mean a holiday / sunbathing costume rather that a speedo low back

To add to my awkwardness, l want colour as well, possibly patterned, but if plain, not plain black or navy.

l think, for me, swimsuits are like shoes, what I’m looking for does not exist.

There are quite a few on Amazon. I do a lot of watery stuff - paddle board, sea swimming, surfing etc and so have quite a few swimsuits. I now buy them all off of Amazon as they have a much broader range of lovely styles than the shops and I’ve never had any issues with quality - plus returns are easy if it’s not right
should also say I’m a curvy size 18!

Have you looked at Seafolly? Bit spendy but v good quality and these come in different colours, especially the aqua blue first one (there are 2 different designs shown in that colour) May not be low backed enough?

@Defiantlynot41 - That's more like it. I would have liked a deeper plunge on the back, but the style is almost there. I will investigate further. It looks practical and stylish.

www.tikiboo.co.uk/collections/swimsuits-1 you want the standard (not crossover, although I do like that design!)

I have the bikini in toxic zebra, the designs and material are fab!

Would you mind linking one or two you have liked? There’s so much crap out there I am wary of buying clothes on Amazon.

I also like the single strap design in these, but maybe not quite what you're looking for
