Your number 1 tip for looking less tired

What’s your top tip for looking less tired? I am not sleeping well and it’s showing on my face. I don’t really have any tips to share sadly! I’ve tried various highlighters and lash curlers and under eye concealers but none of them actually make me look more awake. I use very little make up these days and I think it’s v hard to make yourself look awake and alert on a minimal make up routine. Please share your secrets!

Blusher, concealer and root lift!

Botox! You can get away without doing much else for a while if you've got decent, subtle Botox.

No wine 😞
Laser facial for pigmentation & redness
Little or no foundation - dry skin looks awful.
Tanning drops

Zopiclone!

God I need this in my life. I fear it's not an Amazon buy ?

More sleep and less alcohol

Elf halo glow liquid filter - it makes your skin look luminous. It's a dupe of Charlotte tilbury flawless filter

I got some stuff in the M&S advent calendar and it’s really perked up my skin and I’m all glowy. I’m 52 so not naturally firm and taught! It’s called Emma Hardie revitalising Midas touch. Amazing stuff.

Does the sad lamp make a huge difference?

Garnier spray facial tanning mist £5

Those who use tanning drops- when do you apply them? I used to use them in the morning but make up remover used to take them off at night 🙈

AlexandraJJ · 17/01/2023 17:03

Ice or refrigerated water on pads under your eyes for 15 mins and tan

LadyOfTheCanyon · 17/01/2023 22:31

Cold flannel over your eyes for as long as you can

Lymphatic facial massage for a few minutes

Vitamin C 3 minute mask from M&S

Slap on some hyaluronic acid serum and moisturiser like Hada Labo , which is the gold standard imo

Tanning drops

Depuffing eye gel

Longer term - Botox and keeping eyebrows/lashes dyed and in shape - basically anything that means the basic shape of your face is in as good a nick as possible, I include teeth whitening in this.

I don't sleep well and have perpetual dark circles...
#1 is Becca under eye brightening powder
#2 is a good concealer

Helpwhatwouldyoudonext · 18/01/2023 00:47

Tell me about your tanning drops!

RiverSkater · 18/01/2023 01:17

Cold tea bags on your eyes, or cucumber.

Gua Sha to get the blood pumping to your face. Or lie on bed on back with head hanging down the side and use your hands to massage your face toward your hairline. Five minutes.

Blusher.

Wear a very flattering colour.

Paper bag on head.

I use the Tan Luxe tanning drops but I don't mix them in to my moisturiser, I put my moisturiser on first and then blend the drops on to my face, I get a much better result doing it this way.

extrasushiplease · 18/01/2023 05:35

Water in your body and a non-drying color corrector under your undereye concealer.

Red top and red lipstick.

Seconding this one. I only realised in the last couple of years that this is something that works for me!
