Recommendations for stylish backpack suitable for work but comfy to carry

Need something to carry large ipad, laptop, note pad, water bottle etc that looks quite smart but is comfy to carry (so padded straps ideally). I don’t want to look like I’m off hiking up the mountains but neither do I want a stiff leather satchel type. I feel like what I’m looking for doesn’t exist! Can anyone help? I’ve spent hours searching online! Budget up to £200?

Probably not smart enough but I have an osprey commuter backpack (so it has the padded but for may laptop).
I walk to work so I had to have a backpack style, think it was about £60. It's been great and so comfortable. Most people I work with have similar.

Knomo. Available on line.

I have a Fedon backpack. Roomy, stylish, makes carrying easy (I can't carry heavy bags due to a health condition). Going on 6 years and still looks brand new. Love it! Price was around £250 back then.

Catmum2023 · 14/01/2023 19:51

Would a miu tui fit all this in?

JingleSmell · 14/01/2023 20:06

I love my Mat & Nat one

Nordace siena is simple, comfortable and spacious. I didn't find knomo one big enough for me. It's OK for laptop but it's quite a squeeze for extra stuff - if you want a makeup bag, umbrella, room to shove in a cardigan etc.

Rains, Stutterheim, Sandqvist, Millican, Patagonia. Cycle brands often have some good, comfortable commuter backpacks eg www.rapha.cc/gb/en/shop/travel-backpack-reflective/product/BKP04MDRBK

I have a Knomo leather one that is very comfy and holds all I need, still
going strong after a few years, and also a Samsonite navy one that’s a bit sportier but still smart, and has a bit more room / more pockets

Have you looked at Roka? They have woven rather than padded straps, but are very comfortable.

(Disclaimer, I'm a convert from the enjoyable lucky dip thread, but if you've got specific requirements for work you might be better off choosing your style and colour. My medium Finchley is a great size for commuting with a laptop and has excellent pockets and bottle holders.)

Take a look at carter bags. They are brilliant. Loads of room and comfortable to carry

Justellingthetruth · 15/01/2023 07:06

@TheBelmont

this for going to the office or for visiting customers?

applecharlotte12 · 15/01/2023 07:07

I second Kunomo - my backpack has lasted 5 years, still looks great, padded straps, comfy and well designed with helpful pockets/compartments.

applecharlotte12 · 15/01/2023 07:07

@Ubbee that's the exact one I have!

TheBelmont · 15/01/2023 10:39

Oooh lots to check out there. Thanks for all the suggestions. I’m liking the self coloured Osprey commuter styles.
@Justellingthetruth its more for going to office. We are trendy end of business casual if that helps but I don’t mind comfort pipping style…I just don’t want to look like I’m off hiking!

I love my Boscha backpack. I think I got mine in TK Maxx

Another vote for the Nordace Sienna .
I love it and used it for a 5 day trip to the Canaries recently.
Hand luggage - budget airline . Was brilliant.

I have been known to watch YouTube tutorials on packing hacks for this 🙄🤣
