That is annoying @Snowyowl78 . I can't help but keep a running total in my head of discounts I've missed and it always feels like a little pinch. Do you still have the tags?
I've had a lovely sale parcel arrive this morning. To the person who recommended the botanical print nightdress and robe - thank you! The night dress is veeeery thin, and I initially considered not keeping it, but I love the print and it does evoke the Bloomsbury Set era, and it would be very good for the height of summer (so I went back and got the twigs and berries one, the checkerboard being sold out!). I've also spent a few years looking for a slip to wear under dresses and this might be able to double as that.
I also got the matching robe - I've really disliked all the robes I've tried, and the kimono sleeves were a particularly irritating part of that, but this print is so pretty that I instantly started thinking about how I will alter the sleeves. The set also somehow evoke in me a memory of luxury in the 80's, something I could only view from a disctance or by tv, folks with nice houses who the inspector always found sipping orange juice on the lawn, so it feels like a gift to "little me" whose nose is no longer pressed up against the glass.
I also had the two corduroy dresses - the pleated and the workwear. These both swamped me in a way I couldn't see working, whch is a shame as it's some very soft and wonderful feeling fabric.
I also recieved the chalk/mole cardigan, the one with the ribbon of colour along the bottom and sleeve cuff hems. I don't know what I was thinking when ordering this - it's not my colour and it's not a shape I'm investing in.
FInally I also recieved the indigo denim wrap skirt. I'd thought this was redundant as being so similar to my other indigo patch pocket skirt. And it may well be, but it's really my kind of thing so I'll hang on to it for a few days and see.
