Eyebrow disaster

I had my eyebrows laminated today. She tinted my eyebrows and we agreed on a light brown tint, but my eyebrows are now BLACK

is there anything I can do to lighten these? They look ridiculous as they’re extra bushy after the lamination too

Wash them with liquid soap, or a shampoo, and give a very gentle wipe as doing so with an old toothbrush, works wonders. They'll tone down by tomorrow.

im so tempted but I’m not supposed to wash my eyebrows for 24 hours after the lamination process

If you can get an at-home lamination kit, use the perming solution for around 8-10 mins and it'll lift the colour from the shaft of the hair. If you can stand waiting a few days I'd do it after waiting a little bit since you don't want to put too much of that solution on your eyebrows too frequently.

You're not really supposed to do it more than every 4-6 weeks but I personally do it every 3 weeks since my eyebrow hair is oddly coarse and pings back. It was a case of trial and error for me.

Alternatively, get an at home lamination kit and re-laminate after doing the above advice of washing the tint out while the hair shaft is still quite permeable, remember you're essentially perming the hair so it depends on what your priority is at the moment; whether you want to make the treatment last or get rid of the tiny

Get rid of the TINT, sorry

They do fade after a couple of days, but I wouldn't wash until after the 24 hours if you want to keep the lamination

ILoveYouMoreTheEnd · 14/01/2023 15:57

Because you have had them laminated they will initially be a lot darker, plus any product such as oil she has added as a finish will make them super dark too. Once you are able to get them wet they will fade I promise. Happened to me recently, I laminated my own brows and tinted them light brown and holy moly they were so dark 😳 but faded once I could cleanse and wash my face x

Update

I washed them for the first time today (so 36 hours after). They’ve lost the fluffy shape but I might be able to get that back if I brush them up? The colour still is a bit too dark for me. Thanks for all the replies - probably wouldn’t recommend lamination…

The colour looks good to me OP. I tend to get a bit wah after mine have been tinted and I panic that they're too dark.

RosieRainbow1986 · 16/01/2023 22:26

I loke the colour! Doesn't look too dark at all!

userxx · 16/01/2023 22:34

The colour is perfect. Brows always look way too dark when tinted, especially if you're blonde.

shewolfsout · 17/01/2023 09:01

Looks a great colour to me, I think often it's shocking when they are tinted if you're not used to it, but look lovely natural and defined to me not overly dark. Yes brush them and maybe use a little bit of Pomade or Vaseline if you don't have any
