Hold ups that actually stay up

Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday · 14/01/2023 09:01

holy grail ask… where can I buy hold ups that stay up? I much prefer them but I’m too scared in public as they always start slipping down. I’m tall with fairly average thighs if that makes a difference

thank you!

M & S ones always stay up for me, as long as I don’t put any body lotion on!

Twokidsonedogonecat · 14/01/2023 09:55

I’m 5ft 9 btw

M&S Autograph.

Avoid body lotion etc. Dampen a finger under the tap and run your finger around the silicon.

Mumsanetta · 14/01/2023 10:07

Hairspray always keeps them up! It’s absolutely fool proof!

Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday · 14/01/2023 12:02

I’m 5ft 9 too so that’s helpful- can I ask what size you buy @Twokidsonedogonecat

the hairspray- @Mumsanetta am I spraying leg or hold up? Before it’s on or after?

thank you!

Wolford. Expensive but they last a lot longer. Not only stay up but very comfortable

MoonGeek · 14/01/2023 12:17

Wolford every time.

Mumsanetta · 14/01/2023 12:31

@Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday spray the leg where the silicon strips of the holdup will sit before you put them on

Agree with pp I find wiping them with water makes them stay up but I have fat upper thighs which may also help
