I always got on with the Mac Paint Pots. Previously used Painterly or Soft Ochre shades - neither of which are brown, but there should be an appropriate shade for you.

I loved my Mac painterly and it was a great neutral base BUT I found it dried out and pot didn't get finished so worked out very expensive!

Mac groundwork but agree the pots can dry out.

Charlotte Tilbury cream shadows are lovely (but stay away from the matte) or Chanel do a cream shadow in singles. The high street dupes tend to go patchy on me

Revlon Chocolate is great, and so are the shinier ones. I have one in caramel (or honey?) Gorgeous. Better than Mac, imo.
