Does anyone know if Hush clothing is good quality or not? Dont want to order a load of stuff if its not very good.

I agree about variable quality, stuff being overpriced and also that they now produce too many lines. I preferred them a few years ago when there were only a few collections every year.

Having said that, I think their cotton t-shirts are worth the money. They wash beautifully and have lasted well. I actually think the quality of these has improved in recent years. I also have some knitwear which has worn well, but one in particular was massively overpriced - think cashmere price, but not cashmere. However I loved the style and colour, and still do - I'm wearing it right now.

I used to love the Harems but these aren't as nice as they once were. However the ones I have got, which are at least 5 years old, have worn really well and still get outings.

I agree with terrible quality for the price. I've bought two beautiful cashmere jumpers in recent years and neither has lasted well at all.

The most recent one looked bobbly and old after just one wear and it cost around £110 iirc. It's almost immediately become an 'around the house' jumper, which is ridiculous given the cost. I won't ever buy from them again.

I love Hush and have loads of things from there. I tend to buy in the sales though. I love their styles, but I would say you do need to wash things carefully, which doesn't suit everyone.

CinnamonJellyBeans · 09/01/2023 17:39

Has anyone bought the leather joggers or cargo pants?

PAFMO · 09/01/2023 17:43

Awful quality. Worth popping into somewhere like John Lewis who have a concession and actually feeling and also looking at the stuff. I had my eye on lots online, then managed to see some of it and walked away. Mint Velvet is the same. Primark quality, if not worse.

DelphiniumBlue · 09/01/2023 17:56

Depends what. I found cotton sweatshirts and T-shirts are great, but the jumpers are awful. I've literally just had to bin 2 that I've worn fewer than 10 times each, they've gone thin and bobbly, and are actually unwearable outside the house. Not impressed.

garlictwist · 09/01/2023 17:56

Got some trousers from there. Ok quality but they were meant to be size 8 but were absolutely enormous. So buy a size down.

It’s not.

Nik2879 · 09/01/2023 18:26

So glad I asked always thought they were more higher end and with that you expect the quality to match. Dont think I will waste my time and money. The search for good
quality clothes that last continues.

I like Avalon t shirts, cotton jumpers & some skirts. All washed on numerous 30° washes & they've been fine.
Harems were dreadful - faded & shapeless.

MidnightMeltdown · 09/01/2023 23:57

Poor quality. Everything I've bought from there has washed badly, even on a gentle low temp cycle. Lots of fading, bobbling, and shrinking.

As someone else mentioned, the jeans are ok

neveradullmoment99 · 10/01/2023 00:33

I think it's variable.
The cashmere bf jumper is fantastic quality, but expensive.
The leather is gorgeous. Including shoes and boots/bags/skirts/jackets etc. Never disappointed.
I've had a few coats that I've loved.
Think the quality of some skirts and dresses are no better than some High Street things. I have loved some of their sweatshirts. Love the washed look. Some tees are amazing quality but avoid the thin cotton ones. I have a few thicker washed ones and they are fab. Denims are excellent quality. Jewellery Is variable.
The longline vests are fab and thick. Leggings are good quality.

Either I’m lucky or I am more careful than average when washing my clothes. I have been buying from Hush for the last 3-years and I have been very happy with the quality. I especially like their organic cotton Tee shirts, I have lots of their joggers and they have been washing really well and a couple of their dresses which are really nice. I haven’t bought any of their knitwear though.

HarryArry · 11/01/2023 14:19

I wear Hush nearly everyday, I love the joggers, sweatshirts and T shirts. I really enjoy the feel of them.

HarryArry · 11/01/2023 14:19

And slightly puff sleeve cotton tops.

KillingMeDeftly · 27/01/2023 20:19

If you're in London then I'd recommend getting to the sample sale tomorrow. I'd never pay full-price for Hush as it's overpriced for what it is, but the sample sales are good value.

Mynameisnotsteve · 28/01/2023 00:17

I get my jeans from Hush as I hate elastane and their boyfriend jeans don’t have it. They are great, am on my third pair. I have a lovely cardigan, a couple of nice maxi skirts and a sweatshirt I really like. Haven’t bought jumpers because I don’t think the yarn feels great. I don’t mind bobbling if the % of synthetic content isn’t high because a bobble comb sorts it but if there’s a lot of polyester or acrylic then the comb just makes it go a bit weird and fuzzy.
