I need a makeup refresh and I am looking for the following:

  • makeup setting spray (previously used urban decay all nighter but it breaks me out)
  • lipsticks (always used Mac but find them drying now)
  • mascara (currently using Pat McGrath but it's expensive for what it is)
  • blusher (thinking a cream texture, coral toned for Spring)

I am mid 30's btw, combination skin type, light brown skin colour.

Please send me your recommendations/ what you use and rate.

Mac stack mascara is amazing.

Charlotte tilbury setting spray is good - it does smell though.

Ps. I used the pat mcgrath dark star and much prefer the mac one.

Glossier Cloud Paint cream blush. It’s amazing! Plenty of bargains available on eBay.

AYU make up is fantastic.

I’d say that if you have a Kiko store near you then have a look as the prices are good and it’s imho good quality. I am a fan of their tinted lip balms especially the red one.

Mac stack macara
Refy lipliner and maybelline lifter gloss
Mac mineralise powder
Charlotte tilbury bronzer
Max factor concealer
Kiko eye crayons
Kiko lipsticks also they do cheap mascaras which i really rate when i dont want to use my mac up.

I have super dry lips (and they also peel very easily) and prefer the clinique chubby sticks for a casual / everyday look.

Mascara: I personally always end up back with maybelline. Just works for me...

I really like Isadora (especially their foundation and concealer options).

I also made really good experiences with a few Bell Hypo Allergenic products I've recently tried. But I've never tried that brand before... it's possible that I was simply lucky.

I haven't used kiko in years but I really liked it as a teenager.

Thanks all, some brands there I've never heard of or used before so will keep an eye out for them in shops.

PP mentioned refy, I do like their eyebrow products so might give their other products a try.

I also like the sound of a tinted lip balm.
