Don’t look tired? Tell me what Botox / fillers you have!

I see lots of people on this board saying that good Botox/fillers that are subtle simply make you look more fresh and less tired. And are the only thing that works!

I do not look fresh. I look very tired. I am booked in for a consultation with an aesthetician next week and want to have the absolute minimum to achieve the not tired effect.

what do you have, how much and in what areas to achieve this?

(obviously appreciate this will be slightly different based on individual problem areas)

TIA!

To add, I am 39 and the aesthetician is also a dentist, I did a lot of research to find them so am hoping they are good!

If they're good they'll be able to advise you what will work for you. Mine is also a dentist and she's very knowledgeable about the muscles of the face.
I get a tiny bit of botox in my 11's (not that I have those anymore!) and in my forehead. I also have a little bit of filler on my cheekbones, which helps to give my face a bit of a lift without looking puffy. I'm 43.

Thanks @schmalex

can I ask what is a small amount of Botox? And for cheek filler? I have no idea what would class as minimum vs maximum

My forehead and 11s not really an issue, but nasolabial areas are getting a bit droopy, and around my eyes generally looking tired

Botox above the eyebrows to raise them a bit, opens the eye up.

Botox in my 11’s, crows feet, bunny lines, brow lift and gummy smile.

Filler in my cheeks and nasolabial folds.

Profhilo in the normal places in your face that Profhilo goes.

I wouldn’t get to het up about units of Botox, it’ll make no sense and is meaningless from one person to the next. Tell the person that you want a light touch and make sure you’re getting a review appt/top up included.

What exactly is an aesthetician? That’s not really a British term, is it a doctor? A nurse? A beauty therapist?

Definitely don’t got to a beauty therapist.

Don’t go to anyone who does their pricing by the volume of liquid. You want exactly what you need, not a specific predetermined quantity.

A 1ml syringe is enough for my cheeks, but it won’t be for everyone. I had 1ml in my nasolabial folds with some crosshatching around my chin to smooth some dimples out. When I go for my Botox I couldn’t tell you how many units I’ve had, she just does what I need and reviews me two weeks later at the top up, will add more if the muscle particularly resistant or needs a tweak.
