Sephora Subscription Box

Hello,

Has anyone tried the Sephora subscription box? Would you recommend it? I like the idea but am not sure if choosing my own products would be a hassle. And I remember the nightmare getting Glossybox to cancel my subscription was!

I think it’s great value. Some excellent brands and products and recently they seem to be releasing more new launches.

HOWEVER I had to cancel as they don’t seem to have their shit together and stopped dispatching my boxes. Also, I was getting annoyed with my selected items constantly going out of stock.

So although it’s cheaper to sign up for a subscription, I think it’s better to buy the boxes as one-offs (you can do this monthly) so that you can time it for when the items you want are in stock.

I have a years subscription and wish I hadn’t. They just don’t change the products often enough. Luckily I’ve not had issues with items being out of stock. I’ve managed to get a few great items but often I’m stuck just filling the order with moisturiser or something because nothing really excites me. Occasionally they have perfumes and that excites me but once my subscription runs out I will just buy occasional boxes.

When Sephora first took over their were some great items to choose from, now not so much. Nudestix, lots of Biossance etc.

They definitely don’t have their shit together and I may cancel my subscription and buy one off boxes when there’s stuff I actually want.

I have the year subscription and wish I didn’t - there used to be a good range of products but it seems to get smaller every month. Also last month I received a tiny anti dandruff shampoo instead of the moisturiser I chose and wasn’t happy. I won’t be renewing, just buying the occasional box when it’s worth it when this subscription is up
