If you have long hair, how do you wear it overnight?

I have long hair and I don’t like sleeping with it loose, so I tend to tie it in a scrunchie. However, I sometimes get it too tight and it can keep me awake! What do you do? Am I missing a genius solution?

I have hair down to my bottom & either wear it as a high bun using a silk scrunchie, or piled up & secured loosely with a hair stick. I’m a stomach sleeper & have had too many dreams about being throttled by a snake only to wake up & discover I’m self garrotting with a plait!
