Are all secondary teens wearing NF now? Where I look black NF puffer jackets and nike leggings or joggers. I was about to buy dd a Jack Wills pufferjacket that was hugely reduced in the sales and she turned up her nose saying that it's either NF or no brand. I swear that a year or 2 ago, only middle aged dads wore Northface. What has happened?

Yes they are. My teen and middle aged DH both wear it must to the teen’s distaste. The angst on dc’s face when DH points out he was wearing it first is excellent

Yes DS regularly looks like TNF has vomited on him. But I like it as I can resell when he grows out of it

Yep, apparently my 12yo DS 'needed' a NF puffer for school and spent his Christmas money on one.

TNF have put out a few collaborations with trendy/ luxury brands recently- I think they're definitely aiming themselves towards the younger market and moving away from "just" outdoor active wear and clearly the marketing campaigns are paying off!

My DS's are in their 20s and were wearing NF coats to school years ago. Still wear them now. In fairness are good quality but I'd have thought girls would have more options and choose something less dull.

North Face jackets were worn by teens when I was one back in the late 90's.

Last week I was on the tube one evening- there were three teenagers/young people all travelling separately wearing black TNF puffers including my DD - there were only 6 people max in our part of the carriage and even DH was wearing his big TNF jacket.

DH got his years ago because he wanted something really warm. My DD a couple of years ago probably because everyone had one - DD has made a lot of use of hers.

I moved to Liverpool ten years ago and the kids have been wearing it here for at least that long. I laugh at the ones with the big massive puffer jackets, they refuse to take them off or even unzip them even in the middle of summer 😬

My children have left school now but their head, who's about forty now, used to say to them that he was wearing the same Nuptse coat in the 1990s 😄

True that their leisure wear is fashion range but NF’s technical wear is actual worn in those scenarios.

Interesting. I'm American-Canadian and NorthFace (never THE NorthFace) is not popular or trendy here. Never even heard of the ZC one. And here I thought I was cool and on trend working in a high school with trendy teenagers.

What's ZC?

Dh has a couple of NF jackets but has moved on to RAB 😂. I have a navy NF with fleece which I bought a size too big 2 years ago. I never wear it as too frumpy. It's the puffer ones these kids want to be seen with.

Will I be completely unreasonable to buy the Jack Wills Puffer for dd? It's a great offer and available in her size.

If she doesn't like it she not going to wear it. ZC seems to be the in thing

Unfortunately yes, tried desperately to persuade my 14 year old son not to have a 1996 coat as a main Christmas present but failed . £300 for him to look like a clone 😩

My dc have been wearing NF for years! They're so expensive!
