Chelsea Peers PJ's

I bought some Chelsea Peers Christmas pjs and I have worn them twice and they make me soo sweaty and uncomfortable. The crotch seems to low and the waist band is soo high.

I'm shocked as everybody seems to rave about them on social media.

Has anyone been disappointed with them ? Such a shame as they looked like they were going to be super comfy.

Think I'll stick with my cheap ASOS pj's. I have never had pj's that cause me to be sweaty before!

I haven't heard of them so just did a quick Google and the first pair that came up was polyester. Are yours polyester?

happygertie · 02/01/2023 09:14

Not sure will check. That would make sense. I'm shocked that 40 quid pair of pjs would be poly, esp when I can get 15-20 quid ASOS cotton pjs.

I bought some Karen Mabon pyjamas which had a beautiful print were well over £100 and donated them to charity as they were 100% polyester. Unfortunately, I didn't check before I bought them.

I always check the fabric but stupidly
assumed they’d be cotton due to the style. I bought a babygrow and matching adult ladies and I was shocked at the jersey material. What was more annoying was the horrendous lack of pattern matching - for £45 I expected much better.

I won’t buy again because it’s Christmas pyjamas and they’ll last me about 20 years but I was underwhelmed. The pattern and style itself is very nice though.

I remember looking at these in the past and not buying because they were all viscose. I'm not a total purist and will wear some viscose in daytime clothing if it's really nice, but for nightwear I always, always check for 100% cotton or linen.

I've got 5 pairs and they're all unbearably hot and cling to me and I don't wear them anymore

MolesOnPoles · 02/01/2023 09:59

Me too, they’re awful. I fell for them being ‘silk - like satin’ or some such bollocks, and they’re basically unwearable. Shame as I like the print

SoggyBananaLoaf · 02/01/2023 09:59

They're so weird, make me smell really peculiar! Had two pairs.charity shopped them.

Get Their Nibs cotton ones. I usually pick them up cheap at Tak Maxx. Amazing quality.
