Best bra brand?

I’m in the market for new bras, which bra brand is worth the investment? I’m roughly a size B/C, but I’m going to get measured before I buy any new ones.

Do share recommendations! I’ve always gone to Primark previously.

Go to somewhere like House of Fraser. They'll sort you out with measurements and bra selection. It's what they do all day every day. And I bet you come out with a different cup size than B or C! Different brands good for different shapes.

I think this very much depends on your bra size. Very few women are true B/C cups and cup volume is not static, it depends on the band size. Definitely worth measuring using the boob or bust calculator and then go from there. There is a web page and FB group. There is loads of info there about fitting to your shape and how to tell if a bra really fits well. Highly recommend starting there, it is a game changer.

DD and I both (coincidentally) wear Panache. Expensive, but worth it imo.

dementedpixie · 31/12/2022 18:45

B/C cup means nothing without the back size as a 32C is very much smaller in the cup than a 38C.

As a rough guide measure tightly under your bust to get the back size and then measure more loosely around the fullest part of your bust.

The difference between the over and under bust measurements gives the cup size. 1inch - A, 2 inch - B, 3 inch - C etc

Another suggesting Panache.

kerstina · 31/12/2022 18:49

I like Rosie @ M & S .Beautiful silk and lace bras . I have a really comfortable one with no underwiring too .

MoonGeek · 31/12/2022 19:07

My favourite is Fleur of England, pricey but worth it. Second is Beija and Dora Larsen. I love pretty bras.

Roselilly36 · 31/12/2022 19:28

Not particularly high end but Bravissimo are good, you can be fitted for a bra, and try on some, you will feel what one is right, and you may be surprised to find you are a different size to what you thought you were.

Shuttheblinds · 31/12/2022 23:06

Elomi are the best bras. I quite like freya and panache too but Elomi are the best for comfort and support imo. M&S stock them now.

TeddyTrucks · 31/12/2022 23:07

I've been anything from 34C to 38GG and I've always been a Panache girl

TastesLikeFlavourlessFizz · 31/12/2022 23:08

Wacoal for me!

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 31/12/2022 23:11

I like Freya and Panache

I have some hand me down Prima Donna bras from a friend who has recently had a breast reduction. They’re amazing! So comfy and supportive. I’m normally a Primark girl too, so these are a real treat for me. Apparently they’re very pricey so I have to take good care of them! But even the strapless one is so comfortable. Definitely recommend giving somewhere like Rigby & Peller a try for a proper fitting and at least one amazing bra.

RampantIvy · 31/12/2022 23:32

Another vote for Wacoal

NewMoonPhase · 31/12/2022 23:37

Freya and fantasie

Madagascary · 31/12/2022 23:39

When I was a 32G I’d have said panache or FantasIe
now I’m a 32b/c I DGAF 🎉 🎊

KittenCatt · 10/01/2023 22:18

Update: I got measured and bought a few bras from Boutique, which are stocked by M&S. I’m so happy with them, I’m going to buy more from there in the future 😁
