Moisturise every day!

This is one thing I'd love to be able to stick to! I just can't for some unknown reason! Laziness perhaps?

I have loads of moisturisers from this and last Christmas to use - mostly from the huge soap and glory gift tins!

Anyone else?

Leave them in the shower and apply while your skin is damp.

Leftoverpizzaforbreakfast · 31/12/2022 13:02

Me too!! Can’t get into the habit.

Googlecanthelpme · 31/12/2022 13:06

same. I have the face of a glistening peach and the body of an OAP Gruffalo. My legs are more like bark than skin at this point.

GingerPigz · 31/12/2022 13:08

Try the in shower moisturisers? Apply after (and like) shower gel and rinse off. I use the Nivea one when I cba using a normal body lotion (because it's often too bloody cold in our bathroom!)

TangoAcid · 31/12/2022 13:13

Don't you wash your face before bed? Remove make up? Apply it then. I wouldn't use things like soap and glory on your face though. Full of unnecessary chemicals and perfumes. I like the Weleda skin food at night and Superdrug vitamin e spf day cream for daytime. Tretinoin or some form of retinoid are great for skin too.

Christmascracker0 · 31/12/2022 13:15

I’m the same - I moisturise my face twice a day religiously but have never got into the habit of moisturising my body! I have bought so many posh moisturisers to try to make myself but they just sit there gathering dust 😂

NorthernSoul55 · 31/12/2022 13:24

I've moisturised my face every day of my life from the age of 15, I'm now in my 60s and my face has definitely held its own. My body, however, is another matter, particularly my legs.
I once had advice that the best way of forming a new habit was to link it to an established one, so could you moisturise immediately after cleaning your teeth??

Always4Brenner · 31/12/2022 13:26

Do face religiously but body keep forgetting might treat myself to body butter.

Sorry I mean full body moisturiser.

Ironically I'm religious with my skin care.... currently typing with a sheet mask on lol!

I apply Caudalie The Des Vignes body lotion the second I towel dry after my shower. It sinks in fast, takes seconds and I feel fresh all day/night. Also seems to help me tan evenly for some reason.

AdInfinitum12 · 31/12/2022 13:35

I moisturise my face twice a day religiously but like you, neglected moisturising the rest of my body. Instead once every couple of weeks I have an oat bath, keeps my skin really smooth and it's great for my eczema. Regular porridge oats in a porous bag so the bath looks like oat milk.

Thingsthatgo · 31/12/2022 13:38

I found that a spray moisturiser helped me. I find skincare dull, and I don't ever seem to have time, so I spray my legs and arms after a shower.

NowDoYouBelieveMe · 31/12/2022 13:39

If you can make yourself do it after every shower or bath you'll start to see the difference it makes, and soon ime you won't feel like you've completed your bathing routine unless you've moisturised everywhere.

I never ever tan. Even though I'm dark hair, dark eyes, I have fair skin which just freckles!!

I never used to tan either Checo . A few years ago I used Elemis tan accelarator before a holiday and it worked a charm. Not used it since but seem to take a lovely colour if my skin is well moisturised. I have fairly celtic Scottish pale colouring that freckled when younger.

Sunshineandrainbow · 31/12/2022 13:49

I have a aveeno spray one next to the shower.
Need to start using it though!!
