Please help me find a work bag

Please help me track down a suitable bag for work.

I commute long distance and so bag must be

  • lightweight, and wearble over the shoulder.

*needs to fit in a4 sized books so I can take something to read on the commute.

  • lots of inner compartments to keep things organised, such as makeup, keys, wallet.

*it needs to have an outside compartment, a small zipped pocket or similar so can keep oyster and tickets handy without needing to scramble inside the bag at the ticket barriers.

Budget around £100, although the cheaper the better so I don't mind it being bashed around on a crowded tube.

Just to add, it must be zipped at the top to prevent things from spilling out.

Would a rucksack style laptop bag work or are you looking for something smarter?

MalteserGeezee · 30/12/2022 21:15

I like the Knomo range. If you want a more flexible backpack style, try Nordace, I think they do smarter bags these days

I keep going on about it, but the Mia Tui Jennie is absolutely brilliant for carting stuff around, has a very organised interior, outside pocket, and wipe clean on inside and out. There is a smaller size as well, depending on just how much you need to schlep

Search “top opening backpack women” on Amazon and there’s lots of great options

Second this. It's not stylish but very light and useful for the Tube. Millions of pockets.

I came here to say mia tui. My sister has one of their backpack type ones and it fits in loads. She has had it for about three years and it still looks great

I love Osprey for work bags!- Well worth checking out their sale www.ospreylondon.com/sale/women/the-collier-leather-shoulder-tote-black

This. Over budget but amazing quality, very comfortable, looks smart and stylish and very secure. Mine gets used daily, I'm really not great at looking after my bags and it still looks good as new. Will last you forever.

Bang on budget and hits your brief. I am actually contemplating it myself.
