If I like the Mulberry Bayswater, what else might I like (can be the same price range - just looking for other ideas). If you have a Bayswater, would you recommend?
Thanks wise ones!

I'd take a look at Anya Hindmarch (if they still do the Ebury for example)

Bayswater bags are heavy without anything in them so maybe consider that too when deciding OP. My Bayswater is sitting unused partially because of its weight. Luckily it was bought preloved so wasn’t too spendy.

Yes, the Bayswater is very heavy and awkward to hold - it doesn't 'fit' over the shoulder so you have to crook it over your arm... always feels odd.

I love mine but it is VERY heavy, which does mean I use it a lot less than I would otherwise. I can fit my laptop in, which is useful, but then it's even heavier, so not practical if I'm on the go that day. I carried it for a whole day at a conference once and my back and arms were sore from it by the end of the day.

Mine does fit over my shoulder, but it is just that bit too short to feel natural in that position. I bought mine second hand for £200, so not too fussed that it's not ideal, but I'd look at other options if you're planning to buy new as there's a lot of other bags out there at the price point without the issues mentioned.

Bayswaters can be heavy but it does depend on the leather. The original bags in Darwin leather were very heavy, even when empty but I have one in printed natural leather and another in pebbled patent leather and don’t find them that heavy considering seeing their size. I can fit it on my shoulder in the summer but not over chunky jumpers or coats.

I have the black in the natural vegetable tanned leather and it is heavy before it's filled. It is only a hand held or crook of the arm carry bag. I can only put it over my shoulder in the summer and I wouldn't say that it's very comfortable there.
If you are looking to get a Mulberry, what type of bag do you like to use now?
After a few too many expensive mistakes I now know I am a tote or shoulder bag wearer.

Nowhere near as pricey but I like lulu Guinness bags

Smythson and Jimmy Choo both have lovely tote bags that are within the same range.
