Yes

Walnutwhipsarenothesame · 29/12/2022 22:39

YES!

darisdet · 29/12/2022 22:40

Yes.
It wouldn't suit me, but I like it.

imalreadygone · 29/12/2022 22:41

It would look awful on me as I find pockets and my boobs don't mix. The model looks amazing though

TenoringBehind · 29/12/2022 22:42

Yes

Shivermytimber · 29/12/2022 22:42

No. It’s something I’d imagine Pam from Gavin and Stacey to wear to look “edgy”.

CharlotteSometimes1 · 29/12/2022 22:44

No, very dated

Gooseysgirl · 29/12/2022 22:47

No

runningonberocca · 29/12/2022 22:52

Yes! I love it - might check to see if they have it in my size

RampantIvy · 29/12/2022 23:00

In what way is it dated?
I like it BTW, and being flat chested I like breast pockets.

😂😂
I was going to say yes despite my pockets on boobs problem but now all I can see is Stacey in it.

Worldpeaceandallthat · 29/12/2022 23:15

Pam not Stacey,. Jesus

Supersimkin2 · 30/12/2022 00:06

As long as everything else you’re wearing is snappy, then YES.

But with skinnies and a plain top it’s Someone’s Mum.

ZaZathecat · 30/12/2022 00:37

The gorgeous girl in the photo is managing skinnies and a plain top with it without looking like someone's mum 😁 As I'm old enough to be someone's grandma anyway I'd happily settle for looking like a mum! Lovely jacket

dontgobaconmyheart · 30/12/2022 02:08

No. I wonder if this would be more interesting if we knew everyones age, followed by a yes or no and if that had any bearing or bias.

I'm 35 and would never wear it or buy it.

RampantIvy · 30/12/2022 07:18

I'm old enough to be a grandma and would wear it 😁

Niftythrifter · 30/12/2022 07:21

I’d say no only because I would rather put the money towards a Barbour wax jacket which in the sales you could probably pick up for not that much more.

RodiganReed · 30/12/2022 07:40

It's very inoffensive, very Mumsnet.

rainbowandglitter · 30/12/2022 07:43

Not for me.

Nandocushion · 30/12/2022 07:48

No. Dated and over decorated

Mercurial123 · 30/12/2022 07:59

The gold buttons cheapen it. It's an OK jacket. I have a similar one from J Crew which I've had for 10 years.

RampantIvy · 30/12/2022 08:02

It's difficult to tell from the photos what colour the buttons are. I would prefer them to be more understated (black) or not be there at all., but I like the style of the jacket.

Gruelle · 30/12/2022 08:47

No …

It’s not actually nasty but it’s definitely over-embellished. They’ve thrown everything at it - epaulettes and buttons and ribbed sleeves and …! All of which together make it ‘try hard’ rather than cool. Too much like the leather jacket Meg gives her husband for Christmas in Motherland.

The fact that it’s not a fashionable shape is probably a good thing, though.

Whitney168 · 30/12/2022 08:50

I like it, but if my previous experience of Mint Velvet waxed coats is anything to go by I wouldn’t expect it to be particularly waterproof.
