Need ideas for work clothes!

I am just about to start a new job in which I will be wearing my own clothes. Up until now I have always had a uniform and outside work pretty much live in jeans, boots, or trainers and jumper so really no idea how to do smart/ casual. In need of help!

I'm a 5'6" size 12 with some curves. Boobs and a very high waist mean I really need to avoid high necks. Cannot spend a fortune, probably mid range cost and also shoes! I don't like heels! Will also be cycling to work. Any ideas suggestions from far more stylish people than myself would be wonderful!

What kind of job is it?

Agree that more info is needed so you can get better suggestions. Is it smart, smart-casual, any requirements on what you can and can't wear?

It will be smart casual. It's a clinical specialist role in a hospital.

I wouldn't buy too much until you see what everyone else wears. My office is much more casual post covid, and the heels and tailored dresses I used to wear would look odd now. Also, I'd see how cold or hot it is, air conditioning is a nightmare. Maybe just a jumper and nice jeans for now.

Smart dresses, short cardi and neat boots/brouges/t-bars.
