If you have narrow ankles, where do you find shoes that don't fall off your heel the whole time?

because this is starting to piss me off.

I'm fine now because I can wear boots but it's not going to be too long till the weather warms up and I need some shoes for work.

Went and tried on a load today and everything falls off my heels. I remember this problem before and got some heels with a strap over the middle (which I will probably have to do again this time) but they aren't the most attractive and I'm wondering whether there's a shoe shop I haven't discovered that specifically has shoes that address this problem (oh, also have high instep which doesn't help grrr).

I also have big toes.

That's even worse, especially when it comes to dressy shoes and sandals.

My sister had this lovely heeled mules.

Oh, gawd, they were divine on her!

I tried them on.

I looked like an albino iguana wearing shoes.

Hello... narrow footed person here.

I bought loads of lovely shoes in Barcelona when I was on holiday.

I find flat ballet style ones the worst from slopping off though. I tend to wear t-bar or ankle strap ones. Live in boots all winter.

I have recently purchased a pair of clear straps from a dance shoe shop. Not used them yet, but have them in readiness for summer shoes. I'm hopeful.

oh yes the dainty shoes thing. they look all sort of crumpled when i try them on.

i am the only person in the world who actually looks quite nice in birkenstocks because they are the exact same shape as my feet

fishie - lol - i'm the same. narrow birkenstocks fit me perfectly. but i figure when everyone else is wearing crocs, birkenstocks look quite slim and dainty by comparison
