2023 self-care

I've let myself go. 2023 I need to be more invested in self- care. Starting today. I've just waxed my legs (first time in 3 months), removed toe polish (what was left, it had almost grown off) and done a face mask. I've cleaned my jewellery, I have some lovely pieces and need to wear them more. I've invested in a decent eye cream. Healthy eating & exercising started. I've re-joined the gym (I used to go loads), got new trainers, new headphones for training, booked swimming (used to go a lot).
Who's with me ?

Me 😁🙋‍♀️

I've epilated legs after a lovely long bubble bath. Just done a face mask and currently sat upstairs with music on whilst I wait for my T- Zone strip to take effect lol Bloody black heads lol

Want to get back into exercising and yoga and looking to try different things this year 😊

Someone at work commented that I mainly wear grey & black. So I'm looking to get some colour pieces in the new year, once I'm ready to buy new clothes after some weight loss (2 stone gained this year, mainly through sheer greediness and laziness)
Hair highlights being done Feb/March (need to save up for these)
Doing my nails more too. Would love gels all the time but cost it too much

I'm in.

I’m in. I’m hoping to overhaul all aspects of my life in 2023 I’ve become so complacent.

NightOwl101 · 27/12/2022 18:10

Are you me!

I have let myself go massively, gained 2 stone in weight, never make any effort with hair or make up anymore, everything is leggings and black/grey top of some kind.

I actually brought some nice body scrub today, fake tan and a nail polish. I've been given Christmas money so want to order some new clothes and I'm desperate to join a gym but small DC doesn't allow the opportunity

@NightOwl101 we are the same person!
I'm down to 1 pair of leggings, it's the only thing that fits me along with 2/3 tops. All black/grey.
We've got this !

Where are you starting on the clothes issue?

Can anyone recommend good flattering fit jeans for a short overweight mum tum?

superdupernova · 27/12/2022 20:40

@NightOwl101 I recently bought some straight leg jeans from Sainsburys and they are very flattering. The stretch in the denim helps a lot. I'm 5ft2 and a size 12.
