I have been using The Ordinary serum foundation - which suits my skin brilliantly but it’s been discontinued. I need something lightweight , light to medium coverage which won’t go caked looking. I have dry skin and use a primer. Happy to spend up to around £40. I’m 50 so something that won’t make me look any older would be good 😊 Any suggestions? I would rather buy instore than online so I can get the colour right

I have dry skin and like a light weight, light/medium coverage - and I like this one. And I have tried lots, lol. The dropper applicator is a pain, but I like the product.

Hiya. I came across this thread from the Mumsnet Moneysaver email. I too am an Ordinary foundation user, and gutted it’s been discontinued, as I have a weird skin tone, and found I could get a perfect match in it.
However!! I saw someone post (I think it might have been on Twitter; but never mind that..) that it was being sold off I. tK Maxx and Farmfoods - of all places!! I went into my local farmfoods on the off chance, and found loads of it - at 99p a bottle!!! So, I bought 6, because they had my colour. Should keep me going for a while. 🤣🤣🤣
just thought I’d come on and flag it to you @Juststopit & @Purplecatshopaholic just in case it’s of use, and you can find it locally to you too. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Y’know, if you’re stuck, I’d be happy to go back and look in my local one, and if they have your shade, I could buy and post. 🤗 I know how rubbish it is when your favourite is discontinued. 😬

Thanks @HollaHolla, I have a local TK Maxx and will check it out!

I've just bought Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue for the first time and I love it. it feels like my skin can breathe. It's £39 online so within your budget.

I’m also looking for a replacement. I’ve tried the L’Oréal and I don’t like it as much. It’s very light coverage, hence the very limited shade range. I think it might be fine in summer when my skin looks better generally. TO Serum has quite high coverage for a lightweight foundation. It’s different, but I do recommend Purito BB cream, it’s a bit more dewy and has sunscreen which means not ideal for me as I’m sensitive to sunscreen so I’ll actively be making my skin look worse if I wear it, even if it looks good on.
