Help me find the perfect London coat in the sales!

Lots of good sales on now, and I am thinking of buying a smartish coat. But could use some help. I already have a very warm but bulky parka for long walks, but I need a lighter coat for hopping on and off the Tube ( I don't have a car), going to the theatre or out for dinner, and attending a few conferences.

Has to be warm but light for the Tube and indoors
waterproof ( I hate carrying an umbrella)
hooded ( I have a big head so generous hood needed)
Under £130
Preferably not navy or black ( though I may compromise on this)
Longline so my bum is covered
No fussy hardware or gold buttons

I am 5"7, size 12 but a pronounced apple shape in menopause. Small busted. A lot of puffer coats make me look pregnant:( Maybe I need one slightly nipped in.

I have looked at the Didrikson's Amina parka ( too warm?), Seasalt Janelle ( Is it warm enough?), Uniqlo seamless down coat ( too puffy and may make me look pregnant?) and Joules Canterbury. Also LandsEnd but they seem too ugly even for me.

Any suggestions? I could buy a smart wool coat but then I would have to carry a pac a mac or umbrella.

Try Phase Eight or Hobbs. They have coats with belts and hoods.

There are several other threads on here about coats you could check out.

The seasalt Janelle coat is very warm and has a huge hood (I also have a big head). It also has a waist you can draw in to give some definition and is properly waterproof and windproof.

Thanks both! Some of the Phase 8 ones are really nice.

I have ordered a Janelle to try plus some others. I know many consider it very unflattering and mumsy, but it may suit me and my lifestyle. Didrikson just seemed too bulky and not urban enough.Reading some of the other coat threads as well.

I saw someone wearing the Barbour Darley Moore coat in the champagne and it looked lovely although it did have gold trim.

I got the Janelle, and I am at a loss to understand why it is considered frumpy.. I think it's quite sleek on me. Not smart smart but enough for London, and seems very light but warm. The only thing I don't like is that I still find the hood small ( my head must be ginormous). Other than that I really like it. I think I am keeping it!

I looked at some Barbours but I really don't like the gold trims and buttons. What I like about the Janelle is that it is really minimalistic ( which maybe makes it mumsy).
