Zo skincare HELP

I splurged on some zo skincare after years of consideration. Felt this would help my already ok skin but to help with anti aging and pores and just to brighten my face a little.

I Was prescribed the “fundamental 5” products - gentle cleanser, complexion pads, exfoliating polish, daily defence and daily sheer. also added in a 0.25 retinol to help with little pigmentation.

I started the products last week and used as directed…. Used the retinol once to see how my skin tolerated it.

on day 4 I woke up with the absolute worst eye wrinkles and bags. Not sure if I was a little swollen. Something I did not have whatsoever before starting. Was the strangest thing. I tried to hydrate under eyes assuming my skin had totally dried out. I’m now left with an eye lid with is now drooping which didn’t previously and wrinkles under my eyes although not as bad as it was yesterday thankfully as I looked about 10 years older without exaggeration.

does anyone know why this is. The company are on holiday so I have not heard back from them for advice.

Hi, I also recently splurged on same products, without the retinol as I have rosacea. My skin also seems to have aged 10 years in the last couple of weeks, eyelids and skin in general seems more 'saggy' and lines around my eyes seem worse. Did you see an improvement? I've got a 6 month supply but to be honest thinking if returning back to elemis!

I’m exactly the same. I stuck with it as I did read a few people who said it did get worse before it got better but eventually get good results. I’ve just taken a photo to compare and under my eyes are saggy, thinner and generally look older. I have no idea how or why.

how are you getting on or did you decide to stop using it? @MumToBe1980

I'm continuing to use the products but I'm not impressed with the results so far. I used to use elemis but was hoping that a skin upgrade would help my skin as it has recently started to look a little haggard. I've just had a nice little bonus at work so thinking of trying a little botox around my eyes.
I'm wondering what other skincare brands may be worth a try, zo is marketed as gold standard as its sold in lots of aesthetics clinics but us this just because the clinics make great money selling these products.

This can happen. The old layers of skin on top can get dry and crepey when you first start using it, and it looks like wrinkles. But its actually like the old top layers of skin before they shed off. Like when they say the "retinol uglies" haha. At first it can look worse
