Spa/ After bath proper towelling robe

Hi all,

I'm looking for a towelling robe, made of actual towel material and not soft fluffy material as I want it to throw on to dry me after a bath.

I'd like a white one, open to jewel colours but preferably not dull browns or greys.

Budget ideally under fifty quid.

Any suggestions welcome please.

John Lewis. In the towel dept, not the clothes section. From memory they had white, and a lovely coloured one. Think about £60 ish. But, maybe, sales?

@Bananadramallamas thanks, I have looked at jl but find it difficult to work out which ones were the right material.

@SuperLoudPoppingAction thanks, I definitely can't pull off that colour though!

You want one made of 100% cotton to be just like a towel at drying you. They are hard to find but oh so worth it. I think mine came from John Lewis, but it was a few years ago, it took me a long time to find the right one. I like them mid calf length. Think the white company also do good towelling dressing gowns too.

Dunelm used to sell them in a variety of colours. I bought one as a gift and I’m pretty sure it’s what you are looking for. It was black but they did quite a few colours at the time.

I get mine from Christy: Cosy robe. Really comfy, lots of colours and currently half price.

King of Cotton do proper towel fabric robes, and also the cotton waffle style ones.

BHRK · 26/12/2022 12:03

white company hydrocotton hooded robe. Over your budget but will last years. I’ve had mine 5 and still going strong

GettingStuffed · 26/12/2022 12:11

I've a Christy one, it's towelling inside and velour out

YouScumbagYouMaggotHeresKevinTheCarrot · 27/12/2022 18:34

@BHRK I'm leaning towards that one. Do you know anything about how the sizes come up? I'm a 12-14 but also pregnant so need something roomy:) was thinking the medium...
