Red lipstick help

I'm usually nude lipstick only but really want to wear a really bold red to an upcoming day/night

How do you stop it wearing off in the inner/middle of the lips?! This is meant to be a "bullet proof" 24hr wear blah blah blah but it's still wearing off. Can I stop this?

Never found a way you just have to reapply it after eating or drinking.

Try Lipcote, it’s a clear liquid that you paint over the top of your lipstick.

I'd forgotten about lipcote I'll try and get one today, this lipstick doesn't shift anywhere else and really needs scrubbed off except for on this inner portion.

Lipcote should help. Plus lip pencil - not only to line but to give an initial fill in before layers (apply, blot x 3 before lipcote).

With the above, I can get through a 3 course knife and fork meal (ie. not chomping into burger/pizza) before needing to reapply.

Need to also be careful when drinking - straws are best but not always practical.

You need to use a light touch of a good quality lip liner before applying the lipstick and I don’t mean around the edges I mean in the fuller part of your lips. Lightly mind not heavy handed. Blot and blot again.

Lots of blotting really helps! But to some extent it’s unavoidable. It’s why I tend to go for colours that aren’t too different to my natural.

I'll be rocking red lipstick for the next few days to try out these tips, not sure what my colleagues will think.

@Mrcpy that's exactly why I don't wear anything other than nude, it's too much work keeping it look nice
