Old make up favourites you’ve been unfaithful too

So I’d binned off my Armani foundation for the Lisa Eldridge one, but I found it a bit drawing in comparison, although I love her highlighter thing, (can’t member what it’s called and will stick with that.!)
So I’m back to Armani.

What make up have you cheated on and did you return?

Collection concealer. I used their stretch concealer and loved it but now I'm trying a tarte one, it's lighter coverage so i use it as foundation. It takes out a step at least

I am about to cheat on my beloved Chanel Les Beiges foundation with Armani (just need to get to a store to find my colour).

SequinShagger · 19/12/2022 13:48

Ah! Now tell me about the beiges. I’ve got a Clinique bronzer chubby stick I like

@SequinShagger I have been addicted to Les Beiges since I had a makeup lesson at the Chanel counter for my wedding (5 years ago now). Before that I’d had the Chanel Aqua (?) - too watery and Lancôme Teint Idol (lovely colour match, and it was a good foundation). I also have the Chanel CC cream (yes I am a Chanel addict!) but fancy a change and the Armani one is wooing me thanks to YouTube tutorials…

Also fancy a change / cheat on my Chanel concealer- thinking Dior. Still really rate my Les Beiges bronzer, would take a lot for me to swap away.

I was just thinking I was clearly a very lucky teenager as my long term mascara has been Lancôme Hypnose since I was 15 and I’ve never tried anything else! I did work bloody hard on my wet paper rounds though so I deserved it!

SequinShagger · 19/12/2022 20:08

How do you apply the beiges?

I have fake lashes. No mascara needed 😉

I always used Clinique superfine liner for brows in soft blonde but the colour & texture was changed a few months ago plus it's expensive at about £17.
So now I've started to use Revolution Lamination Brow in Bronde at £7.99.. it's really good!

formulatingAresponse · 19/12/2022 23:05

I've used Lancôme Teint miracle for years which I swapped for No7 Hydraluminous but I've noticed that it now seems to oxidise or maybe my skins getting lighter now that the seasons have changed

Anyway I've bought a shade lighter of No 7 so fingers crossed that'll work if not then I'll be back to Teint miracle.

Always a gamble with foundation

I've cheated on CT Flawless Filter because a) I'm skint and it's expensive and b) it's bloody out of stock everywhere.

Bought the Collection dupe for £6 on Amazon and it's literally the same.

Also ditched Lancôme mascara for Maybelline. Can't tell the difference.

SequinShagger · 20/12/2022 08:54

used to think mascara with something you have to spend on, but now I’m not convinced
