Colour analysis Deep cool Bright Am I a Winter?

I had a colour analysis years ago, pre-pandemic, bought a few items of clothing in blues, purples, not confident enough to wear reds and I'm now trying once again to boost my confidence by improving my appearance.
It was an independent person, not HoC or Colour me Beautiful, so she didn't define me as a "seasson" but I think that I am what is known as a "Winter".
Looking for make-up suggestions - I have darkest brown hair, brown eyes (with grey ring) pale cool toned skin. I'm more in the budget range of No7 than Chanel! Noy=7 Cool Vanilla is my go to foundation, but I haven't won any make up for years - where do I start?

Try a few bright lipsticks as an easy way to introduce colour. Mac have about 9,000 different shades, or just go to your local department store and see which counter is friendliest!

Generally, you’re looking for shades in vibrant purplish-pink with blue undertones, like a cerise or magenta. Nothing brownish or orangey.

Plenty of content on Youtube with suggestions, I like the videos using real life pics here:

Thank you, that' very helpful! I hadn't thought of videos.

It's sound like you might be like me a bright winter so you need cold stark colours like this, even if you stay with a very stark cold black and white you'll notice the difference and they might give you the confidence to try other colours.

Sounds like your stylist was trained by CMB but operates independently (doesn't pay their license fee)

Deep, Cool, Bright's closest match is Deep Winter. Bright is your tertiary coloring and means you can incorporate bright accents but not handle a bright look overall. This means you absolutely aren't a bright winter like the previous poster has suggested.

I can't help on the make up shades right now but hope translating your colouring into a season helps with your research.
