A non-shiny puffer!

We have rescued a dog, hooray!

In the weather we are bound to get, I need a puffer jacket that I can sling on with a scarf and hat early in the morning.

What's with the shiny puffers? If you're young and gorgeous enough to pull them off, fair play to you. I am not.

DH has a non-shiny puffer from Fatface a year or two ago. Unfortunately, Fatface don't have a non-shiny women's one this year.

Only want one down to my bum, I'm not very tall and I fear that a long puffer will make me look like I'm being attacked by an over-amorous duvet.

Now, I was looking at that exact one from Uniqlo earlier, it looks like it's got a tail. Not in the way that old-skool parkas have a tail, I mean that I think it's longer at the back and looks a bit odd. Am I seeing things?
The other thing is I'm not sure how warm a Uniqlo parka would be? Thick? Yes. Warm? IDK.

Another vote for Uniqlo seamless down. Or Didriksons if you want something more seriously waterproof.

DH's definitely doesn't have a tail - he did buy last year though so can't 100% vouch for the fact the design will have changed slightly. What I can vouch for is the warmth though, they're very toasty (sometimes too toasty when you get a good stride on with the dog)

I love my Joules one. Cherington I think and there is a similar short version with a different name. Not shiny.

Sorry late reply if you've already bought. I would suggest dare2b although slightly shiney (but not metallic) but fully waterproof. I have the knee length one and it's very cosy. Their ski jackets and waterproof walking jackets are great too. Also tog24 have some nice looking ones but I've not seen/tried them out.

Puffer coats: I call the wearers Michelin® Mummies 🙂(Add obligatory miniature dog that looks like a rat on steroids).
