Dr martens pascal 1460 too tight?

Hey, has anyone experienced this. I really want the pascal 1460 boots, I tried my actual size on in store and I struggled to even get my foot in it. It felt so narrow across the bridge of the foot as well. One size up felt a tad tight but the length of the shoe then feels a little big.

But all the reviews look like everyone loves these boots and they're pretty much true to size. So why won't they fit my feet?!

I had that to start with, had ordered online though and didn't start the returns process on time. Left with boots I didn't think were any use to me but after a bit of googling I decided to remove the bottom insoles and wear with thick socks. It took a bit of wearing them around the house for short intervals bit they're really comfortable now.

I found they come up small, but lengthways for me not widthways. I have narrow feet, size 7.5 but usually take an 8 in boots and the Pascal 1460s are too short in the length for me. Fine widthways though. It's annoying because I'd love a pair.

I did read above removing the insole! Was it supeeeeer tight at first though? I mean like your feet feel like they're going to die from the tightness.

In a word, yes. And it isn't now. Not at all. And I put the insole back in 😁
