Will I be too dressed up?

Christmas do with a few couples at a local pub likely to remain there but could end up going into town.

Would a dress and heels be too dressy for this? I either have quite casual or quite dressy and don't really know how to do in between.

Also just fancy dressing up as don't always get to but dont want to look too done up.

Opinions please?

I've been out tonight for Xmas drinks. Most people had jeans on tbh.

If you fancy dressing up then dress up!

I’d wear whatever I felt like. Jeans and a fabulous top is a fail safe option but a skirt or dress and heels would be fine - just go with your instinct. After a couple of drinks you won’t think about what you’re wearing!

You know your friends better than we do (and you could always speak to them and encournage them to dress up a bit) but I dress and heels for Xmas drinks in the local pub with a few friends might be a bit overdressed normally.

Jeans and a nice top would be me, but if you want to dress up do it, I don’t really follow other peoples ideas 🤣

Sure there will be some dressy people there as its Christmas time, but also it's freezing so lots of jeans too!

I tend to do dress and boots so it's still dressy but not as much as with high heels

If there's ever a time of year you can be overdressed and get away with it, this is it!

I recently bought a sequinned dress with no particular reason to wear it. I'm currently considering wearing it to a grungey gig tomorrow night, a house party on Saturday and/or DH's sisters place on Christmas Eve 🤷🏼‍♀️

Get dressed up if it makes you feel fabulous.why not ? It’s Christmas sequins and sparkle all the way!

Dancingdragonhiddentiger · 15/12/2022 23:31

I’d expect most people to be wearing jeans and a Christmassy jumper. But no reason why you can dress up if you fancy it. Its all about enjoying what you’re wearing and not overthinking it. Confidencd makes almost any outfit work, whatever other people are wearing.

chrimbomas · 16/12/2022 05:13

I'm going to wear the dress and heels it's what I'll feel most confident in.

Definitely wear it to all 3. 😊
