Way back when I was living at home and single, I used to spend my wages on Chanel jewellery, purses etc thinking it was proper classy and I was buying “investment pieces” 🥴

Fast forward 15 years and 2 children later and it just sits in a box in the cupboard. I’ve been meaning to sell it for years but online selling take such commissions or are risky…

I’m considering donating it to different charities, I support a few Romanian dog rescues… that kinda thing! Just worried they’d sell it for a tenner 😳

What would you do?

Selling to a 2nd hand Outlet is your best bet. you can then donate the proceeds to charity.

Chanel most likely has held its value or in some cases increased. Im not sure why you the sarcastic comment! I would sell privately and then you can choose whichever charity you want. Its very generous of you to want to do this.

You mention commission, but a charity nay not get the full value, so even with commission you will most likely get more money.

Thank you for replies. Do you know anywhere trustworthy to sell to, I had a bad experience with Rebelle 😐

www.npnbags.co.uk

I sold one of my Mulberry bags through her (Sian) and it all went brilliantly. I asked quotes from few others but she had the best comission rates compared to others.

I find selling a PITA and far too time consuming, so unless I'm broke I donate

I’ve also used npn and would recommend

Send it to NPN and accept the commission. I think Chanel jewellery would go for a decent price as their prices have increased a lot over the years. Would be a huge shame to donate it.
