What boots do you wear with black leather pencil skirt?

I have just unearthed a knee length black leather pencil skirt I thought I gave to charity years ago. It's bloody lovely!

I think I wore it for nights out but would like to wear for day with a turtleneck. What boots do you suggest?

My Chelseas are all brown, DMs don't look right, I've black leather zip ups which look a bit odd, do I maybe need black suede to be less matchy?

I wear black suede chelsea boots. Something clumpy should do it

Purple or emerald green knee high boots. Heeled and tight or flat and wide.

Heeled black suede. Chelsea boots are a bit clumpy.

I don't like chelsea ankle boots with skirts or dresses (shoot me). I'd be looking for baggy-ish heeled (but not necessarily high heeled) knee boots in any colour, material or metallic colour... anything except black leather.

Ooo, love the idea of coloured boots.

Havent found anything I like so far, going shopping tomorrow so might wear it and try on properly.
