The Body Shop has discontinued my favourite vitamin e one and everything else I've tried makes them worse. Recommendations please.

Burts bees is awful on my lips. I like the la Roche posay one but only buy it 3 for 2

Another vote for Nuxe. Fresh is also good. Slathering on before bed is what makes the biggest difference for me, as it doesn’t wear off as quickly as during the day so you really get the benefit.

wimbler · 14/12/2022 13:42

Another vote for breastfeeding cream. The boots own brand one is way cheaper and exactly the same stuff

MaryLennoxsScowl · 14/12/2022 13:55

Lidl aloe Vera (green tube) lip balm works really well if a bit gloopy. Also Burt’s Bees but only the peppermint one - the others smell awful. Glossier lip balm in rose is surprisingly excellent as it has oil as well as balm in it which helps it sink in. The coloured ones don’t seem as good.

Pogonogo · 14/12/2022 14:03

Nuxe honey lip balm is the best by far.
Blistex is also good, but nowhere near as Nuxe. It's expensive, but worth every penny and lasts ages

NotMeNoNo · 14/12/2022 14:13

I've give up on everything except blue tin Vaseline as it is just one single ingredient (petroleum jelly). Everything else gives me an allergic reaction now, even Burts Bees and 8 hour cream Sad.

MistyRock · 14/12/2022 14:21

Bepanthen if they are really damaged. Nuxe for when they are back to normal.

We've gone from nipple cream to bum cream Grin

Lanolips is my absolute favorite. I've tired quite a few of the ones mentioned. Some made my lips worse. Lanolips is the one I go back to over and over again. Love it

JustCakeInDrag · 14/12/2022 15:28

Lanolips is lovely but unless you are buying one of the tinted versions it is exactly the same stuff as Lansinoh, just in a prettier tube that doesn’t say ‘nipple’ on the side Grin

The bum cream has saved me many times, especially under my eyes!

LadyLaLaa · 14/12/2022 16:33

Blistex- every night for me. Have done for years 😀

spiderlight · 14/12/2022 16:40

Another vote for Lansinoh. I once had a split in my lip so deep and persistent that my dentist completely freaked out and said that if it was no better by my next appointment (which was the following week) he might have to refer me for surgery 😱 I saw the Lansinoh tip on here and dug mine out, and by the time I went back it had completely healed. He couldn't believe it.

Annabel073 · 14/12/2022 17:21

Dr Lipp

Picklypickles · 14/12/2022 17:24

Superdrug Vitamin E lip balm!

Itsthewhitehat · 14/12/2022 17:28

Burts bees, blistex (though I think they may have changed the name) or the glossier dotcom balm.

The glossier on was the only one I had to hand when I had a recent cold sore. The coldsore didn’t crack and split and went in a few days, using this.

I love Cymex, it seems to fix my lips the quickest.

Agree, when I've got a cold and my lips are really bad Cymex is the only thing that works for me.

ElasticFirecracker · 15/12/2022 18:06

LANISOH. It's just the best.

Spanielsarepainless · 15/12/2022 18:09

Carmex or Blistex.

PinsetAndTwirls · 15/12/2022 18:10

Saisong · 14/12/2022 11:56

Another vote for this!

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 15/12/2022 18:13

Aloe Lips by Forever Living is absolutely brilliant. On Amazon.

Nat6999 · 15/12/2022 18:14

Blistex with Carmex over the top, put on last thing at night & first thing in the morning, I wear Blistex under my lipstick as well

princessbear80 · 15/12/2022 19:46

O’Keefes. It’s totally no frills, but really works. Better than nipple cream for me.

The Lanolips people are missing a trick - they should bring out a rival to Lansinoh and call it 'Lanonips'.
